At the bus delivery ceremony, President Lacalle personally cut the ribbon for the ceremony and carefully visited the Higer pure electric bus. He spoke highly of China's great achievements in the field of electric vehicles and expressed his hope to further strengthen cooperation between Uruguay and China in the field of clean energy.
Faced with the severe situation of global climate change, more and more countries have begun to pay attention to carbon dioxide emissions. As the first member of the Southern Common Market to join the "Belt and Road" initiative, Uruguay has accelerated the construction of public transportation electrification by relying on its abundant power resources. It has now become one of the leaders in public transportation electrification in South America.

Uruguay has a temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 16.5℃, which is an ideal environment for pure electric bus operations.
The largest local bus operator, C Group, currently owns about 1,500 diesel buses and more than 120 urban and intercity routes, carrying about 240 million passengers each year and a total mileage of about 73 million kilometers.
After deciding to transform into new energy buses, C Group selected nearly 20 brands of pure electric buses from around the world to conduct actual vehicle tests locally.
In the end, Suzhou Kinglong stood out from many bus brands with its advantages such as high-quality products, reliable after-sales and customized services, and won the first batch of the largest pure electric bus orders in the local area, becoming famous overseas again and opening up another "fertile ground" for new energy buses.
In order to better adapt to local working conditions, meet the needs of Uruguayan customers and enhance passengers' travel experience, Suzhou Kinglong, after sufficient preliminary research, customized this batch of 100 new energy buses for customers. There are single-decker and double-decker models, with a body length of more than 12 meters, playing a new chapter in the local new energy bus operation.
It is worth mentioning that on the eve of delivery, the Suzhou Kinglong after-sales team had arrived in Uruguay early to carry out a series of preparations to ensure the smooth delivery of the products. For example, through pre-job training for drivers and fleet managers, everyone can master and adapt to the operation and operation mode of new energy buses more quickly. It is understood that Higer after-sales personnel will be stationed in the local area for a long time to provide a full range of services including technology and accessories to ensure the smooth operation of the first batch of new energy buses of C Group.
Uruguay's terrain is mainly low mountains and hills, and the terrain is undulating.
In order to adapt to local road conditions and ensure driving safety, Higer Bus is equipped with chassis lifting function, chassis armor and driver visual assistance system in the driving area.
The bus has a full battery range of 250km, which can well meet customers' daily operation needs.
Higer pure electric buses have received many positive reviews
For example, drivers reported that the biggest difference after switching from diesel buses to new energy buses is that the noise is gone and the working environment has been greatly improved; with 360° images, they can quickly and clearly obtain the surrounding conditions of the vehicle; the addition of electronic rearview mirrors can also allow them to have a better driving experience in an environment with 60% humidity.
Local passengers said that the seats of Suzhou Jinlong Higer buses are very soft and hard, and the riding comfort has been significantly improved; the car is equipped with a USB charging port, which is convenient for passengers to recharge mobile phones and other electronic devices.
Suzhou Kinglong entered the Uruguayan market as early as 2009. Relying on its own product strength and after-sales service advantages, it has deeply cultivated the market and brought green, environmentally friendly, comfortable and convenient bus travel solutions to local residents. This time, it has won the first batch of pure electric orders and it is well deserved.
2024 is the beginning of the second golden decade of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Suzhou Kinglong will take this opportunity to let more countries feel the charm of China's new energy buses and polish the "Made in China" business card!
