Recently, Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co. Ltd exported to Ethiopia in the form of KD, and has been put into mass production and delivered vehicles one after another.
This project is the first new energy KD project established by a Chinese bus company in an East African country, creating a new model for capacity cooperation between China and Ethiopia, and adding new highlights to the cooperation between BRICS countries and the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. Recently, the Ethiopian Electric Power Company in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, held a grand pure electric bus delivery ceremony. The buses were jointly delivered by Golden Dragon Bus and Ethiopia Benene Kind Group, including 5 Golden Dragon pure electric light buses and 4 pure electric 12-meter buses. Among them, 4 pure electric buses are the first batch of new energy buses assembled locally in Ethiopia in the form of KD, which has brought a milestone breakthrough in the local new energy transportation field.
We have been deeply involved in the Ethiopian market for nearly ten years, and are now in an accelerated development stage. "Golden Dragon Bus's overseas sales director said that the order includes 150 pure electric light buses and 100 pure electric 12-meter bus parts, which is the first large order of pure electric KD parts buses in Ethiopia and even in the entire African region. At present, all 150 pure electric light buses have been delivered, and the remaining 100 pure electric bus KD parts have also arrived in Ethiopia and will be completed and delivered soon.
These buses will be operated in Addis Ababa to improve local public transportation conditions, enhance travel convenience, and help local public transportation move towards electrification. By then, Golden Dragon Bus will have 900 buses in the Ethiopian market, becoming the Chinese bus brand with the largest number of new energy buses in the local market.
