On February 20, BYD India signed a total of 2325 electric bus chassis with its Indian partner OGL (Olectra Greetech). The deal covers a variety of different models of electric bus chassis, including the popular K9, C9 and K7 series. At the same time, on the basis of the 750 units order signed in August 2024, 50 K7 chassis and 275 K9 chassis orders were added. Since 2024, BYD has received large orders from the Indian market, showing the degree of trust its products have in the local market. .
As of January 31, 2025, 2330 buses equipped with BYD electric bus chassis have been operating in 35 cities in India, with a market share of 24%. Since the first batch of BYD electric buses were put into operation in the Indian market in November 2017, the accumulated mileage has reached about 335,213,184 kilometers in the past eight years, and the highest mileage of a single bus has reached 678,109 kilometers. BYD's electric buses have performed stably in the Indian market for many years and have won unanimous praise from the market.
