On April 15, under the safety supervision and service guarantee of maritime law enforcement personnel, 130 "Xiamen-made" buses were successfully hoisted at the Modern Wharf of Xiamen Dongdu Port Area, and were carried by the Chinese general cargo ship "Xiehai Yongfeng". They set sail for Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia, an important port for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", and will be put into the local high-end tourist passenger transport market.
It is understood that this batch of buses consists of 234 vehicles in total, which will be shipped via three ships. This is the largest single batch of buses exported to Saudi Arabia by Chinese bus companies this year.
China has been the world's largest automobile exporter for two consecutive years since 2023. In recent years, cars made in Xiamen have continued to sell well in the markets of countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, and the export volume has steadily increased.
The Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration fully utilizes the safety guarantee mechanism for the maritime transportation of medium and large passenger vehicles on bulk cargo ships, opens up a "green channel", and coordinates with port departments to provide customs clearance guarantee services to ensure "zero waiting time and zero delays" for ships in port.
Since the beginning of this year, many batches of large quantities of vehicles have been exported by sea from Xiamen Port. In the first quarter, Xiamen Port exported more than 700 cars by sea via bulk cargo ships, an increase of 112.2% year-on-year
