BYD: Reached regional cooperation with Grab to promote 50,000 electric vehicles in Southeast Asia
On January 15, high upfront costs remain the main obstacle to the popularization of electric vehicles in Southeast Asia.
Through this cooperation, Grab and BYD hope to promote the electrification of Southeast Asia's transportation industry by providing BYD cars to its partners and drivers at the most competitive prices and providing longer warranty services for batteries.
According to the statement, drivers can choose to lease electric vehicles from Grab's fleet partners or choose financing support through Grab's car ownership program.
In countries such as Singapore and Thailand, Grab users can also choose to turn on the "Eco-friendly Travel" option, which will give priority to new energy models for them at no additional charge.
The cooperation covers Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, involving a number of models including Denza D9, ATTO 3 (Yuan PLUS), Seal and BYD M6.
Today, BYD announced a partnership with Southeast Asian travel company Grab to provide 50,000 BYD electric vehicles to Grab driver partners across Southeast Asia, while increasing opportunities for Grab users to enjoy green travel.
