Highlights of Sale Data of Jan.-Dec. 2024
1. BYD Auto continues to lead:
BYD's annual sales in 2024 reached 3,718,281 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 37.40%, and its market share reached 34.10%.
This shows that BYD's leading position in the new energy vehicle market has been further consolidated and its products and technologies have been widely recognized by the market.
2. Geely Auto and Changan Automobile are growing rapidly:
The sales of Geely Auto and Chery Automobile reached 108,796 and 78,643 units respectively in December 2024, up 92.10% and 292.20% year-on-year, with market shares of 8.40% and 6.00% respectively.
The sales growth of these two manufacturers is very significant, showing their strong momentum in the new energy vehicle market.
3. Sales of some manufacturers have increased significantly:
The sales volume of Chery Automobile and SERES Automobile reached 432,556 and 385,906 units respectively, up 258.90% and 269.80% year-on-year, with market shares of 4.00% and 3.50% respectively.
The sales growth of these two manufacturers has been very rapid, indicating that they have performed very well in the new energy vehicle market.
4. Tesla and GAC Aion have different performances:
Tesla's full-year sales in China were 657,102 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 8.90%, with a market share of 6.00%.
Although Tesla's sales growth was relatively low, it still maintained a high market share.
In contrast, GAC Aion's sales were 366,901 units, a year-on-year decrease of 24.10%, and its market share was 3.40%, facing certain market challenges.
