Highlights of Sale Data of Jan-Nov 2024 :
1. BYD Auto continues to maintain its leading position: With sales of 417,232 units in November, BYD’s dominant position in the new energy vehicle market remains solid, showing its strong market competitiveness.
2. Emerging brands have grown significantly: Geely Automobile and Chery Automobile have shown strong growth momentum in both the traditional fuel vehicle and new energy vehicle markets.
3. Sales of some traditional brands declined or grew slowly:
FAW-Volkswagen sold 147,034 vehicles in November, a year-on-year decrease of 12.0%, and its market share was 6.1%.
Great Wall Motors sold 72,803 vehicles in November, a year-on-year decrease of 2.0%, and its market share was 3.0%.
These traditional brands are facing challenges in market competition, with sales declining to varying degrees or growing slowly.
4. Tesla China’s growth slowed:
Tesla China’s sales in November were 73,490 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%, and the market share was 3.0%. Although Tesla is still growing, the growth rate is relatively low, reflecting the increasing competition in the Chinese market.
5. Other brands performed steadily:
Changan Automobile, SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC-GM-Wuling, FAW Toyota and other brands showed a steady growth trend in the market.
Overall, new energy vehicle brands continue to see strong growth, especially BYD and Geely Automobile. Traditional fuel vehicle brands such as FAW-Volkswagen and Great Wall Motors are facing the challenge of declining sales or slow growth.
